In preparation for our own strategy session this week, we took the time out to reflect on how socio-technical systems have shaped our service offerings over the years.
2000-2013 Online Surveys & Mentoring & Coaching, Employee Portals 👥We were one of the first to create an online survey platform. I know it sounds strange now, but back then most surveys were still in paper format. We developed best practice assessments, customised Leadership, 360 and cultural assessments. Our surveys were created in multiple languages and were usedlocally and globally to support leadership growth and success. We also developed companywide mentoring & coaching programs designed to grow and develop high potential leaders. Our FACT platform was created as a collaboration space for Mentors and Mentees to access resources, share documents and measure the progress of their mentoring relationships. The digital surveys were then supported with face-to-face workshops, coaching and advisory sessions.
We developed an in-house database for our 100 plus contractors to use to track client invoicing, timesheets and contract maintenance, this was a game changer and improved our efficiency, quality and effectiveness. This employee portal was supported with weekly face to face breakfast meetings and one on one in person catch ups.
The lessons learnt from this era was a hybrid approach of digital and in-person experiences made the greatest impact to our employees and clients.
2013-2023 Applications Development 🤯We worked with multiple local and overseas developers to create 2 applications-Wellbeing assessment in 2013 and myhaventime in 2020. We really did not know what we were doing, but we learnt on the job. We dealt with Apple & Android requirements, software updates, cyber security, monetizing an app, Amazon hosting, SEO optimization, social media, Google management, user testing, feasibility testing end user education...just to name a few of the big areas to be great at when running a SaaS business. The high cost of the ongoing app development made these financially not viable. Big lessons learnt. Our biggest insight was that delivering a pure digital experience is not our element nor passion.
2023-2030 Engage Creative Hub 💜Our purpose is to inspire, energize and help people and businesses be the best they can be. All our 3 service offerings (Coaching, Advisory, IT consulting) are delivered to create positive socio-technical experiences. We use AI for our research and development. We are conscious that we need to intertwine technology to enhance and not diminish stakeholder experiences. We are curious to see how we can use new technology to enhance the human experience and help people and businesses grow.
What is next for you - how are you using technology to enhance the human experience?
